Raised in Englewood, New Jersey, Loraine graduated from the University of Rhode Island, where she met the love of her life, William Pimental. After marrying, they settled in Winter Haven, where she built a career as a biologist with the USDA. Later, she found joy in her work as a receptionist at a local eye doctor’s office, where she greeted patients with kindness and warmth.
Loraine had a passion for travel, especially cruising with her family. She was an active member of two garden clubs and dedicated herself to deepening her religious studies. Her love for learning, nature, and faith enriched both her life and the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ellen Saxon; her beloved husband, William; and their children, Michael and Valerie. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Robbins (Shane); grandsons, Tyler and Cooper; sister, Gail Wright; niece, Julie; and several cherished cousins and extended family.
Loraine’s strength, spirit and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Beymer United Methodist Church, 700 N. Lake Howard Dr., Winter Haven, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Polk County in her honor.
