Born in Webster Groves, Missouri on March 23, 1931. Graduated from Webster Groves High School and went on to study at Miss Hickey's Secretarial School in St. Louis, Missouri. She later moved to New York City and worked as a secretary for AC/Delco and later became an executive secretary for Warwick & Legler, an advertising agency. It was in Gramercy Park at Calvery House, New York City where she met her future husband, Stanley B. Mulder.
Margaret was a devoted mother and teacher, instilling in her children a love for exploration and learning. From historical outings in Massachusetts to homemade Halloween costumes and cooking adventures in the kitchen, she shared her zest for life and knowledge with boundless generosity. Whether crafting delicate flower arrangements or designing mittens with her children, Margaret embraced each moment as an opportunity to create lasting memories and nurture cherished bonds.
As a member of the Garden Club of Winter Haven for many years, Margaret nurtured her love for gardening and cultivated lasting friendships within the community. Her green thumb was matched only by her talent for painting, particularly of her watercolor paintings. She visited the Smokey Mountains to paint scenery, and also attended classes at PCC. She was interested in and even completed a course in Ikebana, which is the art of Japanese flower arranging.
Together with her husband, Margaret was the co-founder and invaluable member of several businesses including Bodi Company, Inc. as well as being a homemaker.
A member of Hope Presbyterian Church, she devoted herself to study with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) alongside her beloved daughter, Dina. Through her deepening understanding of scripture and fellowship with fellow believers, she found strength, comfort, and guidance in her journey of faith.
In addition to her creative pursuits and spiritual endeavors, Margaret did extensive research into her genealogy. Her research took her across continents, gathering records and forming connections with distant relatives during her travels to Europe.
Margaret is survived by her husband Stanley B. Mulder; children Jill Stevens, Stan Mulder Jr., and daughter Dina E. Huckery (Thomas); grandchildren Christopher Huckery, Brannen Huckery, and Aaron Huckery (Torri); two great-grandchildren, Lainey Huckery and Jack Huckery; as well as sister-in-law Jerry Rodenhaus; nieces, Nancy Sauer, Carol Dettleff; and nephew John Rodenhaus, Nephews, Richard ("Rick") Mulder, David Mulder and Michael Mulder and their families.
