WINTER HAVEN -
Naomi Reel Hough, 86,
died of a stroke on Tuesday
(July 26, 2011).
Born April 22, 1925 in
Winter Haven, she attended
local schools and
Florida Southern College.
She graduated from the
University of South Florida
and was a member of
the Honor Society of Phi
Kappa Phi.
She taught public
school thirty two years
and Christian School five
years.
She was a lifelong
member of the Christian
Church and a Charter
member of Havendale
Christian Church. She
taught Sunday school
thirty-five years, had a
bus ministry and was a
member of the missionary
circle.
She was active in PTA
for ten years, also Scouts,
Red Cross and summer
recreation program for
the City of Winter Haven.
She was preceded in
death by her husband of
fifty-one years, Kenneth
Ray Hough. She is survived
by her sons: James
Hough (Gena) of Lakeland,
FL and Kenneth
Hough (Jody) of Greenville,
SC; grandchildren,
Amy Lauren Hough of
Greenville, SC, Mark
Kenneth Hough of State
College, PA, Sarah Elizabeth
Hough of Lakeland,
FL, James N. Hough Jr., of
Lakeland, FL, and Rebekah
Anne Hough of
Lakeland, FL; a greatgrandson
Cole Hough;
and nephew/caretaker
Bill Reel.
Arrangements are being
handled by Ott-Laughlin
Funeral Home 645 West
Central Avenue, Winter
Haven, FL where the family
will receive family and
friends Friday, July 29th
from 6pm to 8 pm. Funeral
services will follow
Saturday, July 30th at
1pm. Interment will be at
Lakeside Memorial Park,
Winter Haven, FL.
