It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing after a brief illness on 11/16/18.
Pat was born in Toledo Ohio on September 1, 1951. He retired from the City of Winter Haven Fl. He volunteered a total of 30 years with the Swanton, Ohio Fire Dept, Grenelefe, Sun Air, Dundee Fire Departments in Polk County Fl.
He is lovingly remembered by brothers John Joseph Rooney (Janelle) of Alpharetta Ga, Michael David Rooney (Geraldine) of Sarasota Fl and sister Chris Hazelwood (Hap) of Winter Haven Fl and many nieces, nephews and family. He is preceded in death by his parents John & Dorothy Rooney.
A celebration of life will be held September 5th 8:45 am at St Matthew Catholic Church, 1991 Overlook Dr, Winter Haven, Fl. Reception to follow after the Firemen’s Last Alarm. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Toledo Ohio next to his parents at a later date.
