

Reid Murrell, 57, passed away peacefully at home in Winter Haven, FL on April 20, 2014 due to heart failure. Reid was born in East Orange, New Jersey and moved to Polk County in 1959. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, and spent his time between his two homes in Clearwater and Winter Haven.
He spent the last 3 years of his life with his childhood sweetheart Lynn. They dated throughout junior and senior high school and attended junior prom together. Reid loved life and family. His smile and laugh will never be forgotten. His last night was spent with his wife at their 40th high school reunion reconnecting with old friends.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, Edgar Miller and Gene Murrell Sr. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Burdette Murrell, his mother, Margaret R. Lang, children, Nathan Reid Murrell (Jenifer), Amanda Marie Hargrove (Keith), and Angela Moneck, two brothers, Ted Miller (Deborah), and Gene Murrell, a sister, Beverly Gustafson (Alan), and four grandchildren, Hunter and Clayton Hargrove, and Emma and Paige Murrell.
Memorial service will be held on:
Friday, April 25th, at 2 pm
Heartland Community Church
5624 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven
(Cypress Gardens Plaza near Legoland).
