

Adell R. Yost, age 92 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Pickering House, FairHope Hospice in Lancaster, OH. She was born on November 30, 1930 to the parents of Frank J. Kukla and Theresa Harmacinski Kukla, and was raised in South Bend, Indiana as one of eight children. On April 23, 1949 she married the love of her life Russell and had six children. After raising their six children, Adell went to work as a loan recovery officer in 1976 with SunTrust Bank. She remained with the bank for 23 years until her retirement in 1999. In her free time, Adell enjoyed drawing, crafts (which she affectionately gave away to her loved ones and closest of friends), sewing, and in her later years spent many hours reading. In her younger years she and her husband Russ played on bowling leagues with the Moose Lodge, Euchre tournaments, and being huge Notre Dame fans attended many of their games. They enjoyed spending time with friends but mostly treasured moments with their children and grandchildren. Adell is survived by her children Marilyn Yost, Andrew (Leslie) Yost, Jon Yost, son-in-law Jerry O’Leary; grandchildren, Jessica (Bryan Helmer) Harris, Sarah McKinney, Jodie (Greg) Samples, Andrew R. (Hailey) Yost, Jr., and Olivia Yost-Picklesimer; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Russell L. Yost, her brothers and sisters, her daughter Lori Harris, son David Yost, daughter Lois O’Leary, and great-grandson, Thomas McKinny. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 5300 Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida 32792 with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
