The song is over but the dance hasn’t ended. Alma Jean knowlton johnson taylor born November 16,1924, to Burr and Alice knowlton. Alma lived a full life. In her early years she played keyboards in the family band at the Red Barn dance hall. She retired from the Navy and played a key role in missile and space systems. After retirement , she traveled extensively, visiting multiple countries with her brothers and their families. She continued her love of music through dancing and playing in the band for the Florida tail gators and Sanford yacht club. She is preceded by her husband Jack and children Peggy and Richard . She is survived by her daughter in law Terri and 4 grandchildren Bonnie, Katie, Tori, and Taylor.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Baldwin Fairchild Goldenrod Chapel located at 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, Florida 32792 followed by a burial service at Drawdy-Rouse Cemetery at 3:00 PM located at 4050 Rouse Road, Orlando, Florida 32817.
