Andrew Rawls Van Kleunen

Andrew Van Kleunen, age 16, died April 25th. Beloved son of Jim and Mary Kathryn (McKeithen) Van Kleunen and brother of Matthew. Andrew attended Winter Springs High School. He is survived by grandparents Tom and Sally McKeithen and was preceded in death by grandparents Jack and Margaret Van Kleunen and his special friend Marc Cox. He leaves behind loving aunts and uncles, Jeannie and Jim Clarke, Tom and Paula McKeithen, Mark and Lu Anne Van Kleunen, Jack Van Kleunen, Janet Van Kleunen and cousins Thomas, Michael, Lauren, Jaycee, Jenner, and Jack. Also survived by beloved longtime nurse Rebecca Henry Kendall and his angel on earth Bonnie Voirin.

Andrew’s family is indebted to his wonderful nurses Jane, Jen, Peg, Barb, Nikki, Cindy and many others, along with the staff of Maxim Healthcare. Special thanks to Drs. Livingston, Bornstein, Kojic, Carakushansky, Moser, Farrell, Spack, and the staff at Nemours Children’s Clinic, Arnold Palmer Hospital Pediatrics and APH Special Care and PIC Units. Most of all, his family is immensely grateful to Tom Lacy, MD, and the staff of TLC Pediatrics.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30, at All Saint Episcopal Church, 338 East Lyman Ave., Winter Park, FL. 32789 at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow at the family home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Drew’s Care Connection,” c/o Fairwinds Credit Union, 1475 Tuskawilla Rd., Winter Springs, FL 32765. These funds will be used to purchase medical supplies, medicine, and equipment for underinsured children with special needs.
