Mr. Angelo S. Battista

He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954. He was born in Oneonta, NY, Aug. 21st, 1931 and relocated to Casselberry, FL. in 1979. Angelo worked in the food service industry for many years, retiring in 1992 from a family restaurant, Benny’s Pizzeria, where he worked as the restaurant manager. He is survived by his 4 children, Stephen Battista (Mary Jane) from South Carolina, Angela Battista of Massachusetts, Rita Sorenson of Alaska and Jeannette Dusoe from Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his brother Benedict Battista (Mickey) of Winter Park, his companion, Cindy Dobar of Winter Park FL; 5 grand children and 9 great grand children, and great friends Jerry Trapp and Dan Grasso. Angelo is the son of the late Benedict and Genevieve Battista and the brother of the late Eva Battista DeShaw and the late Nancy Battista Welch.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am until time of service.

Committal Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Angelo Battista and sent to:
