Daniel William Baker

Baker, Daniel William, 51, of Winter Park, FL, passed away on August 22, 2012 at his home with his loved ones by his side. Daniel is now at peace and out of pain after an 8 month battle with cancer. He moved to Florida from Illinois in 1979 and worked for the laborer’s union during the building of Epcot. Throughout the past 25 years Daniel worked as a building engineer for various companies with his last employer of 12 years being Colonial Properties Trust. He married Jane (Suarez) on March 14, 1981 and over the next 6 years they had 3 beautiful daughters.

Daniel loved the outdoors. Being on a boat, fishing and going to the gun range were his favorites.

He was proceeded in death by both his parents, William Baker and Fannie (Daniels) Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Jane, of 31 years, and three daughters, Elizabeth Baker (Meredithe Trowbridge) of Riverview, FL, Sherry Baker (fiancé Thomas Penrod) or Riverview, FL, Sarah Nowlin (E.J.) of Oviedo, FL,. One granddaughter, Jaelynn Penrod aka: Pa Pa’s Little Angel. One sister – Florence (Dolly) Williams (George) of Lake Wales, FL, Two brothers – Timothy Baker (Kimberley) of Bartow, FL, and Mark Baker of Miami, FL.
