

Dorothy Parsons Burnett, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away the 5th day of April at Lifecare of Altamonte with her children by her side. Born in 1934 in Akron, Ohio. Dorothy was a military wife and mother of three. She worked to help support her family in several careers throughout her life. Dorothy worked in many positions within the hospitality industry that includes hostess, waitress, chef, bartender, and manager. In 1984, she began cleaning the operating room of a local hospital. Dorothy’s work ethic grabbed the attention of the physicians whose operating room she cleaned. She began training under their direct supervision, and became a certified anesthesia technician. She worked for Winter Park Hospital for twelve years before she retired in 1996. Dorothy loved her family, and she always considered her friends to be her family too. She was a ball of fire who always spoke her mind, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her three children Kimberly Burdette, Lyle “Patrick” Burnett, and Harold “Kemper” Burnett, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandsons
