Evelyn C Carcara

Evelyn C. Carcara passed away May 8, 2012 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Evelyn was born in Chicago Illinois on September 21, 1919 to Minnie (Schultz) and George Kuhn. She lived in Chicago with her husband, John and they worked side by side in a neighborhood grocery store they owned on Wells St. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother and loved to host large family dinners during the holidays at her home.

They moved to Arizona in 1979 and, after John’s death in 1985, she moved to the Central Florida area. During the next 12 years, Evelyn was very involved with the Winter Springs Senior Center serving as an officer.

She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.

Evelyn is preceded in death by three sisters, Adelaide Valvoda, Loretta Wagner, and Grace Crandall.

She is survived by one son, Jack Carcara (Joyce) of Apopka, Florida; a daughter, Diane (Carcara) Lyne and (Daniel) Lyne of Lemont Illinois,Two grandchildren, Jay Carcara (Anne) of Orlando and Jeffrey Carcara (Kristy) of Windermere, Florida as well as four great-grandchildren: Tyler Carcara, Robert Carcara, Betsy Carcara and Ashley Carcara.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sutton Homes for their care and compassion during her last years.
