Phil, as he was called by friends and family, was born October 5th, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana, to Marion and Alexandria (Nowacka) Klodzinski, who emigrated from Poznan, Poland. He had three brothers, Ted, Louie, and Kye, as well as two sisters, Stella Seynski and Josephine Hawkins who have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bernadette, and his children Rosalie Anderson of Granby, Colorado, Dolores Gooding of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jack of Orlando, Florida. Phil was known as Papa K to his three grand-daughters, Jodi, Wendi, and Cindi, his five great-grandchildren, Bradley, Alexander, Jessica, Alison and Casey, and great-great-grandson, Preston. His professional career began in South Bend, Indiana at Studebakers for 15 years. In 1957, Phil moved his family to Orlando, Florida so they could spend more time outdoors. He then went to work for the Martin Company, followed by Walt Disney World, from which he retired. In his younger days, you would find Phil out tinkering with the car, boating, fishing, or riding his Harley or his horses, Duchess and Fletcher. Even at the age of 97 he still enjoyed a fun game with his family; tossing horseshoes, shooting pool, throwing darts, or playing card games. He was a warm and loving gentleman, who maintained a gentle, free-spirited attitude his entire life. He had respect for nature and recycling, which made him a true environmentalist before the word was even coined. With a very positive outlook on life, he believed in and lived by the quote, his quote, “Life is what you make it. Nobody is going to make it for you.” The viewing will be held at the Baldwin Fairchild on Aloma Avenue on September 14, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Mass will be held the following morning at 11:00am at Most Precious Blood Church, after which he will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka Florida.
