James Franklin House Sr.

HOUSE, JAMES FRANKLIN, 79, passed away October 23rd from Myelodysplasia. He is survived by his son J. Frank House Jr. and his wife Carol Fleming House of Maitland, daughter Lou Anna Smolowe her husband Alan of Apopka, grandchildren Sarah and Katie House, Louis Smolowe and first cousin (a sister to him) Mary Lou Turlington of Fayetteville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia Mac Barefoot House and Mother Edwena B. House. Frank and Julia moved from NC to Lakeland, FL in 1958. The family relocated to Orlando in 1963. At that time they became members at Park Lake Presbyterian church. Frank served the church as a Deacon and Elder. He also enjoyed sharing his photography skills with the church by coordinating website galleries. He worked at CSX Corporation for 30 years with the majority of those years as a commercial agent. He served in the United States Coast Guard. From the hearts of his loving family Pops will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 28 6 to 8 p.m., at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, 1350 West Fairbanks Ave Winter Park. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Lake Presbyterian Church - 309 E. Colonial Drive Orlando, 32801 - on Friday October 29 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Park Lake Presbyterian Church.
