Everyone that has spoken about James has said the same thing, that he was one of the most helpful people they knew. He would be there in a moment's notice if you needed help. You could call him at 3 in the morning and he would be there. But He could also be the biggest A-hole you knew, too... lol
He was loving and funny and had a heart of gold. His wit was sharp and his tongue just as quick with those comebacks. He could outsmart anyone that was trying to pull one over on him.
He was loyal to his friends, and his friends were loyal to him. Friends that became family were a testament to his true self. Some of his friendships were decades long.
James had a career journey that led him through various roles, from being a mailman in New York to working as a ride technician mechanic at River Adventure in Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios. His passion for cars and road trips was well-known among his friends and family.
James is survived by his mother Miyuki Lynch, his sister Janis Lynch-Vearling and brother-in-law George, and his niece Eleanore who shared his birthday. He leaves behind his fiancée Sheila Gillroy and her children, and grandchildren that called him Papa Jay. He also leaves behind his half-brothers Dr. Ryan Lynch and Shane Lynch. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Joseph Lynch and his grandparents Raymond and Eleanore Lynch.
A memorial celebration of life for James will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM, followed by a visitation from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
