Mrs. Jeanie Marie Jones Dobbs

Jeanie Marie Dobbs was born in Fort Ord, CA on November 24, 1959 to Dr. Robert and Mary Jones. Jeanie was crowned Miss. West Paso in 1979. Later that same year, she met David Dobbs. He instantly fell in love with her timeless beauty and strength of character. They were married on September 5, 1980. Jeanie fulfilled her dream of being a mother with the births of their five sons.

Jeanie gave herself completely to the service of others for the sake of her Savior - sewing wedding dresses, children’s' clothing, designing floral arrangements and bouquets, and playing the piano for her congregation of twenty years, Faith Baptist Church.

As a two year breast cancer survivor, Jeanie became active in promoting awareness. After experiencing two heart attacks and five surgeries, she went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2010 at 12:07 pm. She passed holding the hands of her family and friends, ushered into heaven by their chorus of hymns.

Jeanie is survived by her husband of thirty years, David Dobbs, sons Jeremy and wife Melanie, Joshua and wife Rachel, Jonathan and wife Monica, Jordan and wife Allison, and Jesse, six grandchildren who were the loves of her life, parents Dr. Robert and Mary Jones, sister Debbie and husband David Gensel, mother-in-law Norene Dobbs, as well as a devoted extended family and church family. She will be missed, but those here on earth rejoice in knowing she finally heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
