Jeannie Grace Bendure

Jeannie joined this life on September 10, 1928 in Wytheville, VA. and left quietly on November 4, 2014 in Fern Park, FL; age 86. From a family of 11 children, she was the fifth and last surviving. Her early childhood and first 32 years were spent in Maryland near D.C. Her employment there was primarily at Engineering Research Corp. and A.C.F. Industries. In 1960 she relocated to Orlando, FL and joined Glen L. Martin Co. where she worked until retiring after 30 years from what had then become Lockheed Martin. Her life's major enjoyment was bowling, at which she was exceptional. She bowled her last games just a couple of weeks before passing. She followed and enjoyed all sports including fishing where she caught, among others, a 7 foot sailfish. For six months a year, seven subsequent years, Jeannie B and ED travelled and lived in a fifth wheel for short times in the majority of the states. Surviving and her husband, Ed Bendure of Fern Park, FL, children Sherry Manor (Dan Graham), of VA; Jackie Block of VA, Jerry Bendure Jr. (Joanne) of Orlando, Cindy Goode (Robert) of Maryland. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 13.8 great-grandchildren.
