John Lach, 88, of Orlando, Florida, passed away November 14, 2023. John was born in Adolfsdorf, Yugoslavia on April 1, 1935.
John immigrated to Vocklabruck, Austria with his grandmother, mother, older and younger brothers, and younger sister. From there the family immigrated to New York in 1955 and eventually to Ohio.
John was married to Marie Elizabeth (Teffner) Lach on August 8, 1959.
John first started working in Austria laying terrazzo floors. His career in the USA consisted of working as a Tool and Die/ Plastic Injection Mold Maker for LBL Mold & Die Company, Inc. in Akron, Ohio, which he founded with his brother, Rudy Lach, and brother-in-law, Joseph Buzaki. John finished his career working for Global Precision in Davie, Florida from September 5, 1978 to December 31, 1998. John was a hard worker all of his life and that never stopped in everything he tackled.
John was a founding member of the Akron German Family Society. John was also a former member on the Mid-Florida Mustang Club.
John's passions included spending time with his family, helping family and neighbors, playing and watching soccer, and his prized 1970 Mustang Mach 1 which he restored during his retirement. John also loved animals and wanted to be a farmer when he was younger. He dreamed of one day moving to a place where he could have a horse farm.
John was preceded in death by Andreas Lach (father), Emma (Gajer) Lach (mother), Jakob (brother) and Katharina (Lach) Buzaki (sister). John is survived by his wife of 64 years Marie Elizabeth (Teffner) Lach; brother Rudy Lach (wife Emma and loving nieces and nephews); daughter Mary Catherine (Lach) Burkhammer (husband Raymond); son John Martin Lach (wife Rajni) and granddaughter Lily; son Steven Andrew Lach; son Mark Alan Lach (wife Shan'a), and grandchildren Kirstin (Lach) Conrad (husband Parker), Cody, Cameron, Kylee and Austin (wife Autumn), and great-granddaughter Thea Marie.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Comforter in John's name, 605 Montgomery Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL. 32714.
