Jose Nadine Gomez

Jose Nadine Gomez, beloved mother, grandmother, and respected friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 5, 2015 in Orlando FL. Jo was born on November 1, 1938 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England and grew up in Romford, Essex, England. A graduate of the Heath Park Secondary School for Girls, Jo worked for the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank in London, England until she met and married her husband Jesus C. Gomez. As a Navy spouse, she loved the adventure of living in Spain, Hawaii and Virginia before moving to Central Florida in 1971. Jo worked as a Manager at Burdines, Fashion Square Mall for 13 years and then SunTrust University Blvd Office for 21 years, until her retirement in 2008. Most recently she enjoyed being a Thirty-One consultant. Jo loved working with her clients; many of whom became cherished friends. She had a gift of eternal optimism, a great British sense of humor and believed in living life to the fullest. She loved to travel, enjoyed music, and especially cherished her time spent with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur William Wesley and Pauline Beatrice Wesley, and her husband Jesus (Jess) Gomez. She is survived by her daughters, Janine Gomez, Winter Park, FL; Jasmin Zuhr (Donald), Oviedo, FL; Juana-marie Lippman (Alan), Dunedin, FL; granddaughter, Jordan Zuhr, (fiancé, Andrew Reddington), Concord, MA; and grandson, Jacob Zuhr, Oviedo, FL. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and remembered for her genuine kindness, belief in the value of family unity, and pride in British Heritage. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday February 14 at 9:30 A.M. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 14 at 10:00 A.M. Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home/ Goldenrod. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
