Margaret “Margee” McKinney, 98, of Orlando, Fl passed into the loving arms of Jesus at 4:30 a.m. Dec 12, 2014, surrounded by her sons and their wives. Born in Columbia, Tenn., November 29, 1916, Margee moved to the College Park section of Orlando with her young family in 1948. She is the widow of her loving husband, John, who passed away in 1983, and is survived by her sons John (Sandy), David (Denise), Steve and Mark (Chris), grandchildren David, Chris, Kate, Andrew and great-grandaughter Caroline; her great-grandaughter, Delaney, preceded her in 2012.
Margee was a founder with her husband, John, of the Fellowship Sunday School Class at College Park Methodist Church, and a life-long active member. In 1966 Margee and two friends formed “The Wedding Belles”, the first wedding planning business in Orlando. She carried it on successfully until she was 92. Many happy brides speak lovingly of Margee.
Family, friends, flowers and church were her passions. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and large community of friends in Orlando. Margee’s long life was a celebration as is her passing into eternity. Our Lord will no doubt use her there in planning for the future arrival of us all!
