Sarah Ellen Regan Tillery, a longtime resident of Winter Park and Lake County, passed away on January 16, 2021. Born in Birmingham, Alabama to Naomi and James Regan, Jr. on February 16, 1931, the second of five children, into a loving family. After early education in Birmingham, she attended Auburn University, where she met her husband and lifelong companion of 61 years, Don. They were married after her graduation in 1952.
After living in Atlanta and Miami, she and Don moved to Winter Park in 1960 with two of their three children. She was active in many organizations for schools, church, civic and cultural endeavors. They lived in the golden years of Winter Park.
She was predeceased by her husband, three brothers, James P., Charles W. and J. Thomas and survived by children Suzanne (Mickey) Conway, Don Jr. ( Lisa) and Jim, grandchildren Sarah Kate (James) Conway Mavrak, Caroline (Dustyn) Conway Sanders, and Tillery Conway; Austin, Don III, and Ben Tillery; sister Carolyn (Louis) Lusk and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be a private graveside ceremony at Palm Cemetery. Memorial gift to El Hogar in care of All Saints Church, Winter Park.
