

Theodore James Werkeiser has passed away at the age of 64. He was a wonderful man who touched the lives of many people. He owned and operated an Interior Trim Carpentry business in Winter Park, FL for over 30 years. He was the son of Robert and Mary Werkeiser and was born and raised in Stroudburg, PA. After graduating high school he became a member of the United States Air Force where he was stationed at McCoy AFB, Orlando, FL. In the Air Force he was introduced to Central Florida where he made his permanent residence in Winter Park. Ted's proudest professional accomplishments were Arnold Palmer's Isleworth Golf and Country Club, Omni Rosen Hotel and Conference Center, Caribe Royale, the President's residences at UCF and Rollins College and many projects he completed for Kuhl and Brinkman, Richard Searle, and William Richardi. He was best known for expert craftsmanship and being meticulous in just about everything he did. Ted was a member of The Winter Park Masonic Lodge No. 239 and a 32nd degree Master Mason of the Scottish Rite of Orlando. His favorite hobbies included long walks with his best friend Bouncer, bicycle rides, flying remote control helicopters, playing various games with his wife and most recently researching everything under the moon on the internet. Ted was survived by his loving wife, Christine Craig Werkeiser, of 41 years; sons James and wife Alexandra, Todd and wife Stephanie; grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Blaine and Addyson. His Brothers and Sisters included Terry, Kathleen, Donna, William, and Bruce. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, 1350 West Fairbanks Ave Winter Park, 5-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Arrangements by CAREY-HAND COX PARKER FUNERAL HOME.
