Tiekar Bennett

Tiekar “Unique” Bennett peacefully transitioned on October 9, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. He was born on September 12, 1980 in Boston, Massachusetts, and was the beloved son to the late Gwendolyn Nicholson and Tiekar Bennett.

Unique had a special bond with his beloved grandmother, Mrs. Angela Bennett, affectionately known as “Mama.” They shared a beautiful relationship that brought joy and love into Unique’s Life.

Unique was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn, his father, Tiekar, his uncle, Carlton Bennett, and his paternal grandparents, Angela and Cecil Bennett.

Tiekar had a deep appreciation for fashion, sports, travel, and cars. He found solace in music and spirituality. He was wonderful and kind person who was always there to help those in need.

Tiekar, commemorating his strength and resilience throughout his battle with ALS. Recognizing the importance of raising awareness and offering support, he became a devoted advocate, actively involved in the ALS Association Florida Chapter. Through his participation in various support groups and charitable events, Unique sought to shed light on ALS and extend a helping hand to others in need.

Tiekar, affectionately known as Unique, leave to cherish his devoted wife Michelle Bennett and stepdaughter Wiquell Hanson. His memory will live on through his loving sisters: Princess Evans, Taneisha Williams, Tie’Asia Barnes, and Francis Dilbert. Grandmother: Virginia Nicholson. He also held a special place in his heart for his godmother, Lynette Cumming; and he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He possessed a gentle soul and was an exceptional individual who cherished his family and friends.

Let us gather together to Celebrate the life of Tiekar “Unique” Bennett. His unwavering Love and compassionate spirit will forever be etched in our hearts and cherished by all who know him. May he rest in eternal peace and love. He’ll forever be with us in spirit and will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life for Tiekar will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32792. A memorial service will occur Friday, November 3, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32792. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rhythm & Smooth Venue, 3950 S US Highway 1792, Suite 2000, Casselberry, Florida 32707.
