Clara was predeceased by her husband E. H. (Mick) Osler in 1987; four brothers: Rupert, Jack, Tom and Fred Peagam; three sisters: Gertrude (Ethel) Smith, Kathy Hogg and Annie Smith and is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews.
Clara was born in Exeter England she was 9 years old when the family set sail for Canada, and now just about 95 years latter she was the final remaining member of the original Peagam family. Clara started teaching when she was 15 in the one-room country schools around Saskatchewan. She married Ernest Henry (Micky) Osler when she was 32 and enjoyed 49 years of wedded bliss. She had a wonderful affection for children, not having any of her own, yet constantly surrounded by them as a caregiver, teacher and entertainer for several successive generations.
Her favorite passions besides family, friends, church and the community were her cottage at Lake Katepwa and flowers, which she grew in abundance.
She will be sadly missed but will be remembered by those who had the privilege of being influenced by her. That memory of her generous, dignified life is reflected in an inherited fashion by many of us who still emulate that dignity today.
