Daryl Maurer

Daryl passed away where he loved to be the most, on the farm. Starting at a very young age, he began working on the farm, learning the ropes. Eventually, he and his brother Lavern took over the dairy farm from their dad. Daryl enjoyed the dairy aspect of the farm, while his brother looked after the grain operations. His kids knew him best for his non-stop corny “dad jokes” that always gave everyone a chuckle. Whenever his family was in need of a helping hand he was always there. He enjoyed many hours of woodworking in the basement on cold winter evenings and in the summer he enjoyed cruising around the farm on the gator with the dogs, making sure everything was in order. His pride and joy since retiring was his antique John Deere ‘R’ tractor that he liked tinkering with and hauling to tractor pulls with his family cheering him on.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Nancy of 49 years; his children: Leanne & Burt (Justine), Troy & Linda (Rachel & Trevor), Carla & Troy (Levi & Brody), Paula & Landon (Austin) and siblings: Darlene, Lavern & Janet (Damian & Megan) and Glen & Deidra (Alysha & Garrett).

Predeceased by his mother Alma and father Ernest.
