

David attended Columbia School and later Grayson School. After leaving school David worked for Sask Wheat Pool, Edwards’ Electric (Esterhazy) and K-2 Potash Mine at Esterhazy before moving to Broadview and starting his own business, Exner Electric, in 1969. David officially retired on December 31, 2020.
David enjoyed sports, especially ball. He played fast pitch ball for Grayson a number of years (always good entertainment). He then got into coaching the Broadview Midgets all the years our boys played. He also enjoyed golf and never missed a Sunday afternoon or Monday men’s golf night until this year.
David passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Predeceased by his parents George and Evelyn; brothers Jerry and Mervin and brother-in-law Ted Fuchs.
David leaves to mourn his wife Pat; son Grant (Barb) and their children Kristin, Justine and Kyle; son Greg (Sylvia) and his son Colton and his daughter Chesney (Kyle) and their children Brynlee, Logan and Wyatt; son Shawn (Linda) and son Sheldon and his children Rowan and Landin; sisters Irene (Rod) and Sharon Fuchs; sisters-in-law Denise Exner and Annette Exner as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A public graveside service was held at the Broadview Cemetery Columbarium, Broadview, SK on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tomy Mandapathil, MST officiating.
