On October 31, 2025, our precious beloved Gabriel Morgan Lerat was called home at the age of 23 years.

Gabriel was born on December 13, 2001 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Gabriel was predeceased by her great-grandparents: Margaret Nippi and George Littlewolf, Virginia Severight and John Thomas Quewezance and Florence (Peggy) Lerat and Roy Delorme; grandparents: Kenneth (Alo) and Georgina Severight, Frank Lerat, Derek Lerat, Herb Lerat and Helena Lerat; her mother Virginia Rose Severight (Nin Always right); brother George Alfred Severight-Lerat; aunts Barbara Severight and Tiffany Bear; cousins: Bradley-Jay Severight/Kitchemonia, Avery Bear and Creed Lerat and uncles Kenneth Severight Jr., Eryck LaRose, Timothy Lerat and Kanata Naytowhow.

Gabriel is survived by her partner Montoya Wapash; her children Waseya Divine Rose Wapash (pinny) and Montoya Brooklyn Royale Wapash Jr. (chunnymanz); grandparents Kathi Lerat and George Gardippie; father George Lerat (Lacey); siblings: Brooke Lerat, Batista Lerat, Kendra Severight (sheesha), Kenton Severight (big cheese), Wyatt Lerat (wiggy) and Kylie Lerat and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and friends.

A wake will be held in the Cowessess Band Hall, Cowessess First Nation on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the same location on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Elder Adam Joseph. The interment will take place in the Cowessess First Nation Cemetery. The family requests that no children under the age of 12 years to attend.

The pallbearers will be: Kyle Lerat, Jordan Lerat, Nolan Lerat, Kevin Lerat, Logan Desjarlais and Kenton Severight. The honorary pallbearers will be: special sisters Tearra Delorme and Kiera Strongquill and special aunt Angel Nippi.
