Geraldine A. Alexson

Geri was born on July 18,1954 in the Broadview hospital. She resided on Kahkewistahaw until she was an adult. She moved to Regina, SK where she raised her children and foster children, who she loved as her own. She returned to Kahkewistahaw as she got older. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved.

Geri enjoyed watching hockey games, doing her nails, family BBQs/fires and having a beverage or two. A big accomplishment was getting her license and driving around like MS Daisy!

We will truly miss her love, guidance and her humble presence. Our special matriarch has gone home.

She was predeceased by her mother Lucy M. Redwood; father Fred M. Mckay; brothers: Stanford Alexson, Donald Mckay and Roy Alexson; sisters: Charlotte A. F. Alexson, Beulah Langford and Valerie Alexson; sons Shane Larry Alexson and Shawn Todd Alexson.

Geri is survived by her sisters: Marilyn Alexson, Maureen Morgan, Nadine Kim Alexson (Marty), Lucille Bunnie (Rick), Cindy Smith and Val Smoker; brothers Ross Alexson and Freddy Smoker; daughter Shannon Alexson (Brian); sons: Dion Alexson, Eric Stephenson, Sheldon Mintuck, Faron Bigsky and Faizon Alexson; plus numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whom she loved dearly.

The wake will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Community Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the same location on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Elder Allan Delorme. This will be our last time to say goodbye, see you later and have the last meal with her.
