She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was a long time resident of Wolseley, moving there in 1939 to farm and then into town in 1975. She was very active in the community, volunteering as treasurer for the Hospital Auxiliary and Catholic Women's Auxiliary.
Also an avid gardener, she won many best yard gardening awards in town and on the farm. She enjoyed watching curling and Blue Jays baseball, having skillfully participated in both sports in her younger years. Summer weekends were spent at the family cottage at Katepwa, which she considered her second home and heaven on earth.
She had a very sharp mind, an incredible memory and an independent spirit to the very end of her years. She had experienced tragedies in her life but had the strength to overcome them and enjoy her life. She loved her family very much and we loved her. She will be missed.
Special hugs and thanks to Elvira Schneider for everything you've selflessly done for Helen. You are appreciated.
