Henry "Fella" Francis Delorme 'kākisīwīt nāpew ᑳᑭᓰᐑᐟ ᓈᐯᐤ' 'Man Who Talks Loud'

On the morning of September 19, 2023, Henry (Fella) Francis Delorme passed away peacefully at the Broadview Centennial Lodge with family at his side. He was predeceased by his father Martin Delorme and mother Jeanette Bear; siblings: Marianne Gaddie (Doug), Rose Koenig (Andy), Doreen Agecoutay (Jack) and Ron Delorme; daughter Lisa Delorme and grandson Dylan Delorme.

Henry is survived by his wife and soul mate of 66 years, Vera Delorme (nee Redwood); sister Cody Desjarlais (Brian); children Danette (Ted), Derek, Leanne (Gil) and Cheryl; son-in-law Shane Wing; grandchildren Stephanie, Justin, Terence, Kimberly (Cadmus), Shayla (Jaymie), Noah, Tristan, Thaddeaus, Tyson and Rylan; and great-grandchildren Martin, Jordan, Justin Jr., Ayden, Laila, Taylor, Victor, Dawson, Kalianne, Kingsley, Xavier, Mia, Holden and Mac.

Henry, ‘Man Who Talks Loud’, was a proud husband and father who always loved and cared deeply. True to his name, he was a man of few words but rather lead by his actions as the kind man that he was. He loved to tell stories but had a hard time finishing as he would laugh before the punchline. He was known best for his love of family and his love of golf. A real rock in our family we could always rely on. He will be greatly missed.

The wake was held in the Cowessess Community Hall, Cowessess First Nation on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Cowessess Community Hall on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The interment took place in the Cowessess Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Derek Delorme, Gil Mcleod, Justin Delorme, Noah Delorme, Cadmus Delorme, Tristan Mcleod, Thaddeaus Mcleod and Tyson Mcleod.
