Jimi Jo Pewapisconias

Jimi-Jo Keighly Pewapisconias (Kisikosiskwew) was born on September 23, 1992 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was taken home to be with the Creator on the morning of December 29, 2016 at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin, Saskatchewan.

A Wake will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Sunday, January 1, 2017 with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held in the Complex on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a dinner to follow. Interment in the Kahkewistahaw Cemetery. A traditional Feast will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

She is survived by her dad Ryan Pewapisconias and step-mom Norma Pewapisconias along with her mom Chooch (Lois) Taypotat and step-dad Jeff Tebbutt, her brother Kale Pewapisconias, step-brother Nash Antoine, and step-sisters Jalena and Dailyn Antoine and her special nephew Hazen Checkosis. She is also survived by her paternal grandfather Arthur Horse, maternal grandparents Louis & Bernice Taypotat; her paternal uncles Vernon Pewap, Gerald Pewap (Audrey), Lyle Pewap (Yvonne), Bruce Pewap (Carmen), Carl Pewap (Viola), Garry Pewap (Celine); her paternal aunties Myrna Baptiste and Delia Davis (Shawn); her maternal uncles Darrell (Christa) Taypotat, Curtis Taypotat, and Sam (Tammy) Taypotat; her maternal aunties Gail Bear (Nyle Martin), Kendra Taypotat (Terrance Aisaican), Sonya Dodginghorse (Brent) and Martina Taypotat (Les George); her special aunties Karyn Taypotat & Darlene Downing; her special cousins Melinda Alexson, Tyrell Thomas, Charity Taypotat, Ward & Keegan Martin, Cayda Dodginghorse, Evan Pewapsconias, Warren Pewap, Trevor Atcheynum, Shaylyn McCarthy, and Avery Hotomani; her special grannies Sharon Bear, Marlene Stevenson & Alice Paton; her special friends Brenna Joy, Tracy Flicek, Paige Bisson, William Lavallee, and Bodhi Bouchard; her numerous other aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both sides; and her many friends; and of course her fur babies Lily, Chloe, Ginger & Arse.

Jimi-Jo is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Martha & Daniel Pewap; paternal uncles Leslie Pewap, Cecil Pewap; and paternal auntie Laura Atcheynum; by her maternal great grandparents Allan & Emily Rose Taypotat, Marlowe Kenny & Margaret Bear; her maternal uncles Leland & Larond Taypotat; and her maternal auntie Cynthia Emily Rose Isaac.

At the request of the family we ask that no children be present at the Wake, Funeral and Feast. We also ask that women please wear skirts at the funeral and feast as it is traditional.
