

Joyce was born in Wolseley, SK on February 7, 1954.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Alice (Kakakaway) Ironstar; brothers Wesley and Glenn Ironstar; nephew Everett Ironstar; niece Jolene Ironstar; special aunt Amy Kakakaway; special uncle Earl Kakakaway and John’s mom Dr. Lenore Stiffarm.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Nancy and son-in-law John Stiffarm; grandchildren: Brandon, Ihte, Kehtsin and Nihani Siis Stiffarm; sisters: Elaine (Rodney) Keewatin, Jean Ironstar, Martha (Darryl) Gartner, Doris (Tom) Der; special cousins/sisters Lynda (Joe Harry Kennedy) Kakakaway and Verna Ironstar; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as special relatives: Evelyn Ironstar, Carmen Ironstar, Amy Jenna Der and Walt Bad Road Mount.
The family would also like to acknowledge her relatives from the White Bear First Nation and the Fort Belknap Community.

The wake was held in Carry the Kettle Community Centre, Carry The Kettle First Nation on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service took place in the same location on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Tuffy Helgeson, Lodgepole, MT, USA. The pallbearers were Jaret Ironstar, Travis Kakakaway, Kevin Li, Kris Fourstar, Thomas Molina and Chris Scribe. The interment will take place in Carry The Kettle South Cemetery.
