

Mom was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on October 19, 1929, to Peter and Rose Borys. After completing grade 12 and taking a business course, she moved to Grenfell in 1949 to work as a telephone operator for Sask. Telephones. It was there that she met Jake Hack and they married on August 8, 1953, which started their lifelong relationship. Her fondest memories were spending time at the summer cottage at Grenfell Beach with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her: daughter Cynthia; son Miles (Donna); grandchildren: Darcy (Eren), Jay, Devin, Chad (Danielle), Shaun (Kayla), Randel (Brody) and Kyle; great-grandchildren: Dustyn, Darren, Kylie, Nova Lee, Kass, Kohen, Yazmine, Salem, Faeryn and Ryder; sisters Irene Woroniuk and Olga Betker; sisters-in-law Cathy Wagner and Amy Borys and many nieces and nephews.
Julie was predeceased by her husband Jacob; parents Peter and Rose Borys; sisters: Elizabeth, Virginia and Pauline; brother Peter; in-laws: Arthur (Marie), Vern (Jean), Florence (Arnold), Marion (Reinhold) and Gilbert and grandson Bradley.
A funeral service will take place in the Grenfell United Church on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Shirley Schlamp. The interment will take place in the Grenfell Cemetery.
