Leo Alcide Martel

The funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Montmartre, SK., on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Dennis Remot. Cremation with interment in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Predeceased by a son Edwin, grandson Clinton Glas, brother Phillip (Gilbert) Martel, sisters Azilda (Maurice) Dedecker and Emma (Paul) Preusche, brothers-in-law, Art Laverdiere, Pete Hozempa and Leo Briere.

Leo is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Madeline, his children: Louis (Lois) Martel, Regina, SK.; Jeannette (Larry) Keeler, Regina, SK.; Yvette (David) Glas, Odessa, SK.; Therese (Paul) Kress, Kendal, SK.; Vivian (Quentin) Glas, Odessa, SK.; Allan (Joan) Martel, Martensville, SK.; and Donald Martel, Montmartre, SK.; and daughter-in-law Cheryl Martel, Montmartre, SK.; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren, two sisters Cecile Laverdiere, Montmartre, SK., and Yvonne Hozempa, Glenavon, SK., brother-in-law, Ed (Valerie) Laverdiere, Ponteix, SK., as well as his nieces and nephews.
