Nathan George

Nathan was the beloved son of Anastasia and Zachery, and brother to Jersey, Cody, Tayliah, Paisley, and Zavier, as well as his step-brothers and step-sisters.

Born in Regina and raised on the Kakisiwew-Ochapowace Nation, Nathan attended Kakisiwew School, he was in grade 7. Nathan was a dedicated son, brother, and friend who was learning his culture and language at school and in the community, an up-and-coming warrior protector for his people.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Anastasia George; father, Zachary Lawson; siblings: Jersey, Cody, Tayliah, Paisley, Zavier; his step-brothers and step-sisters; his loving aunties and uncles: James Simpson, Jordan Simpson, Kaylyn George, Kayle George, Tyler Lavallee, Kerry-Anne George, and Jaylisa Pasishnek; his great-grandfather, Gary Pasishnek; grandmothers Shirley Moran (Jessie Simpson) and Deena Arthur (Alger Seon); mushum Gary George (Lisa); numerous cousins, friends, and special kokoms and aunties: Gary George, Lisa Sparvier-George, Jaylin Sparvier, Angel Sparvier, Sierra George, Nicole Isaac and Lynn Bear.

He was pre-deceased by his kokom, Esther George, and great-mushum Gary Tanner.

Nathan played for the U13 Thunder Hockey Team and will be deeply missed by all his teammates: Braeden McKay, Dante Allary, Brylee Isaac, Phoenix Okemaysim, Mason Strongeagle, Oren George, Eagle Deafled, Nathan George, Aubree Buffalo, Austin George, Alex Kaysaywaysemat, Rayden Bear, Kylan McArthur, Harmony McKay, Kalium Missens, Kason Lavallee. Coaches: Chris Delorme, Tyhia Delorme and Manager: Mya Isaac.

The family kindly requests that all attendees honor Nathan’s life by refraining from attending the wake and funeral under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We wish to celebrate his life in a healthy and respectful environment.

Youth attending are asked to wear a black ribbon around their arm. Ribbons will be provided at the services.

A Pipe Ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 8:00 AM at the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex.

A wake will be held on December 27, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex on the Kakisiwew-Ochapowace Nation. The funeral service will follow at the same location on December 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
