Phyllis Nana Paterson Topinka

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, Phyllis Topinka, beloved wife of Tony Topinka, Whitewood, SK., died in the Broadview Union Hospital at the age of 75 years. The funeral service will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Whitewood, SK., on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Steeves and Heather McEwen officiating. Predeceased by her parents John and Alice Paterson; a son in infancy; and four siblings: Bob Paterson, Maddy Paterson, Pat Carswell and Jean McCaw. Left to cherish Phyllis’s memory is her husband Tony of 54 years; three children: Debbie Ecklund (Danny Thomas), Donna (Ken) Matsalla, and Trevor (Heather) Topinka; seven grandchildren: Jennalee (Mark) Beutler, Cole Ecklund (Kirsten), Taylor Ecklund (Joel), Rylie Matsalla (Kayla), Mason Matsalla, Stephanie (Scott) Orthner and Cody Topinka; two great grandsons, Ryder Beutler and Nixon Orthner; two sisters Bea McCaw and Evelyn Anaka; and one brother Tom Paterson. Phyllis is also survived by foster child, Stanford Pewean as well as her nieces and nephews.
