

A public graveside service will be held at the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Cemetery, Kahkewistahaw First Nation, Broadview, SK on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
A public funeral service will be held in the Grenfell United Church, Grenfell, SK later the same day at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. David Maxwell officiating. Cremation.
Rachael grew up in Creston, B.C. during the depression. She was very athletic and enjoyed track and field and swimming. She began her working life at the age of 16 and married Gordon Woods on February 24, 1940. In 1967, the family moved to Saskatchewan when Gordon entered ministry with The United Church of Canada. They returned to B.C. for one year and in 1969 came back to Saskatchewan to the town of Grenfell. She was a partner in ministry with Gordon on the Round Lake Pastoral Charge for twenty years, played her accordion and lead the singing in worship. She enjoyed music, reading, knitting, crocheting and visiting with family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humour. Her faith in God sustained her throughout her many years of life.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1993 and her son Barrie in 2011. She is survived by her family: Leonard (Sharon) & grandchildren Kelly (Dominic), Jay (Tonya); daughter-in-law Kathy & grandchildren Tammy, Chris (Alyssa); David (Elizabeth) & grandchildren Shane (Wendy), Sara (Harry); Bill (Sue) & grandchildren Troy, Kristie (Eric); Daryl (Nola) & grandchildren Tara (Gary), Alison (Kirby); Jackie and grandchildren Tina (Wayne), Tammy, Jody (Rob); Kim (Sharon) and grandchildren Carrie (Dustin), Trisha (Andy);her brother Bert Morrow and 27 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
If friends so desire, contributions to the Grenfell United Church Memorial Fund, Grenfell, SK S0G 2B0 may be tokens of remembrance.
