Sadness still reigns even after 4 years since Tammy entered Heaven's gates. Yes, she is experiencing nothing but awesome joy and perfection -- and walking with Jesus every moment.
But of course it's harder for those left behind, and facing the reality of life without her.
While there has been gradual healing, there will always be the great sense of loss...... and our hearts feel for her family as they continue to miss her so much.
My own heart still breaks for my son as he strongly feels the void in his life. Time does help ease the pain a little bit, but the love is still there and the memories run deep.
Praying for them especially today.

Thinking of my daughter-in-law Tammy Fredlund today, as it's now been 3 years since she began her new life in Heaven.
Her joys are endless.......it doesn't get any better than this!! She is a new person with a glorified body that is completely free from pain.
And best of all, able to walk and talk with her Savior all the time.
Meanwhile, those left behind carry on faithfully, reminiscing about the good times and the legacy she left.
Praise God for His presence with us till we meet again!

Thinking back to 2 years ago today..... Tammy left her sickness and suffering behind, and transcended this world to enter Heaven where ALL is perfect, far beyond our imagination. 
She knew Jesus as her Savior, and will be in His presence forever.
As believers we have this same assurance that we will see her again, and live eternally with our Lord.
This is the plus side.... in the meantime Tammy has left a void for her family and friends, and the heartache is still very real.
Please know that you are being remembered in prayer, that God will minister to you as you cope with this vacuum in your lives.
My heart goes out to you, as time does help to a certain extent, but loss cannot be erased so easily. 
To you Rick, my dear son, and each of my grandchildren, I pray for your strength especially today.
And also to each one of Tam's immediate and extended family, the same request. You are remembered in a special way.

What an extremely difficult day this has been for Tammy's family!!
And that includes not only Rick and each of the children, but Gail and Wayne, Troy & Edie, Tina and her family. (I've forgotten names here)
The entire year has been hard to cope with for sure......... and today is so full of memories as we think of Tammy's "change of address" from this world to Heaven.
While she is enjoying all the glories of Heaven and complete freedom from pain and suffering, her family still feels raw and incomplete.
My prayers have been with them all day (and of course leading up to this day), and I know many others have been standing behind the family in prayer as well.
And how they appreciate this, and NEED it too!!!
Please keep remembering them in the days to come as well.

I've just returned from a very special weekend, where we shared in the Celebration of Tammy's life.
Yes, cut short by human standards, but still within God's plan for the work He had for her to do here on earth. 
And what a beautiful legacy she left when you look at her four dear 'children' -- adults now, but raised in love and living the way she wanted for them. Examples of proper training and unconditional love.
Rick and Tammy were a team, and provided a home that was most welcoming. And their union ran deep, as evidenced by the care she received especially the last 3 months of her life.
Being Rick's Mom, I admit to being predjudiced....... but knowing how he willingly became her care-giver, shows the depth of their devotion to each other.
I'm so proud of my son for being there for Tammy, every step of the way, right till she took her first breath in Heaven.
And the example this leaves for their offspring........ total committment.
Tammy's Homegoing definitely leaves a huge hole in their lives, but she is also leaving behind so many incredible memories that will remain with her family.
And their deep faith in God will carry them through this very difficult passage.

We will all miss Tammy so much, but if we want to catch glimpses of her, we just need to look at the Fredlunds.
I see Tammy's wicked sense of humor in Dylan. Even in times of despair and frustration, Tammy could find humor and spread it to others.
I see Tammy's amazing work ethic in Eric. She was so proud of everything he has accomplished already at such a young age. I was awed when Tammy pursued her nursing degree with 4 young children at home. Even with the support of Rick, it was still something I couldn't imagine doing.
I see Tammy's creativity in Abby. Tammy could make the ordinary beautiful, sometimes without even looking like she was trying. Even her flowers along the walk seeded themselves and graced the yard with beauty. I remember Abby creating art as a young girl with paper towel and markers. Ordinary things made into something beautiful.
Tammy was a great cook and baker. In Calgary, neighborhood kids were lucky to have her on the block. She made delicious cookies, but loved to share her baking and feed everyone around. Her skills and generosity are evident in Sarah.
Tammy was compassionate and loved others with all her heart. Rick did not learn these traits from her-he has always been compassionate and loving too. No one could love a person more than Rick loved Tammy. They were a team and raised 4 amazing kids. We will all miss Tammy, but if we want to catch a glimpse of her we don't have to look too far.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Tammy again over the past few months during her stay in hospital. In our conversations, she was always upbeat and so thankful for all the support from her family and friends.  Tammy told me about the time she stayed at Grammy Jones' home while taking a nursing course, she always looked forward to Grammy's plate of molasses cookies waiting for her on the kitchen table. 
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to her family.  When I was little I would look at the stars and think, "Heaven sure is beautiful." As I grew older and loved ones passed, I decided perhaps these were not stars in the sky instead, they were openings into Heaven where the love from our lost ones was pouring down to let us know that they are ok.  Tammy is now a bright shinning star and is looking down, keeping watch over all.  Her love and caring for others will forever go on.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time.  Tammy was an angel and such a kind soul. She will be greatly missed.

You are all so in our thoughts and prayers . Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Rick and family, Tammy ‘s Mom, Gail ,  her Dad, Vance  and their families , Her  brother , Troy and family and her sister , Tina. 
After reading the “ program” that is to be “ Tammy’s Celebration of Life, “ I can only say she would ( and will be ) very pleased . 
I remember many a visit with Tammy as Irv and I visited each year to N.B. in August and Tammy always seemed to be there at Grammy and Grampy Jones ‘ to bring her homemade Birthday cake to share as her B- day was Aug 3 and Grampy ‘ was Aug. 4 . 
Then our paths crossed again in Calgary as she was staying at her brother , Troy and Edie’s home and sewing on her wedding dress. Since we moved to Fort McMurray and she and Rick moved to Saskatchewan, we have shared phone calls, , texts and emails. 
These memories will last a life time . 
Our last conversation  ,  Tammy said , “ if I cannot recover from this , I have family and friends that I know are waiting to receive me along with my Heavenly Lord .  
It will take time to heal and that is ok, as I said before “ memories are precious and last a lifetime” , these and your Faith will see you through . God Bless all of you …Aunt Brenda and Uncle Irv .
