He was predeceased by his father and mother John Jr. and Sadie; sister Viola; brother Clinton and grandsons Casey J. and Marcus.
Tim is survived by Takoja’s Bailey (Bean); Ella Winona; sons: Timothy J., Timothy A.D. (Cheyenne) and Nathaniel Heese; daughter Jessica R.A.; granddaughters: Caselyn, Casely Helen, Hazel and Brynleigh; grandson Tylan Timothy; sisters: Rose Alma (Calvin), Brenda, Cindy and Lauri (Lyndon); brothers: Jonathan (Holly), Kevin (Tanya) and Elton (Rebecca) and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, relatives too numerous to mention, along with Timothy’s many friends in the pow wow circle, sports and recreation, tourism and billiard leagues.
Timothy was born on December 17, 1958 and had many passions in life. His ten year career with Sask Parks and Recreation allowed him to travel to our 74 First Nations within our province. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved and appreciated nature in every season.
He recognized the importance of sharing his language, history and traditions to carry on the legacy of his Nakota People.
The love he had for horses began at a very young age with the guidance of his father. A true “Cowboy” in its purest form. Thus inspired his creation of Takoza Tipi Camp and the creation of Takoza Equine Assisted Traditional Alternative Therapy, which is known as TEATAT. This became his pride and joy which he promoted amongst all nations, all levels of government, various organizations and in the private sector.
He instilled his knowledge and teachings to his sons T.J. and Aaron who will carry on his legacy.
Special gratitude to his doctors: Karunakaran, Baird and Zacharias; nurses: Denmark, Cora Lee, Lauren, Leslie W. and Lani and to the many more who showed respect and compassion to Timothy at the Regina General Hospital and Indian Head Hospital.
Timothy will be sadly missed by all who knew him and the many lives he’s touched.
