Bruce Alden Mickelson

Born on February 11, 1929, in Swanville, MN, to Peter and Elsa Mickelson, Bruce lived a long and fulfilling life marked by creativity, resilience, and deep connections with family and friends. He was accomplished in many areas but was especially known for his remarkable woodturning collection—a testament to his skill and passion for problem-solving and craftsmanship.

Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita, and his children, Gary and Karen. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Greg (Barb) Mickelson and Kris (Mike) Erickson; grandchildren, Scott (Sam), Sara (Adam), Alaina, and Jack; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ellie, Charlie, Louis, and a baby boy expected in August. He is also fondly remembered by his brother, Sherwood and sister, Joan, along with many extended family members and his cherished friends at St. Therese of Woodbury.

A service to honor Bruce's life will be held on July 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Therese of Woodbury, with family visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Memorials are preferred to St. Therese of Woodbury.
