Carol Eileen (Timm) Berger passed away on November 19, 2021 in Minneapolis, Minnesota after an extended illness.

Carol was born to Lester and Wanda Timm on August 19, 1959 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Carol spent her early and primary school years in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Following her father’s retirement, the family moved to Menomonie, Wisconsin where Carol graduated high school and completed her degree at University of Wisconsin, Stout. It was in Menomonie where she also met her husband, John. They were married on December 1, 1984 in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. After spending four years living in Michigan, Carol and John moved to Woodbury, Minnesota in 1988.

Carol enjoyed so many parts of her very special life, but will always be remembered for her generosity of spirit in helping others. Whether for relatives, friends, her church, school, or community theater, Carol was always there when needed. What she enjoyed most of all, however, was being a great partner to John and mother to Alex. Helping Alex grow up and become a smart and thoughtful young man was the single-most important thing to her. In her quieter times, she enjoyed reading, needlework, watching Food Network, and, in the last ten years, taking care of her beloved rescue Yorkie, Yogi, who was never far from Carol.

Carol is survived by her husband John of Woodbury, son Alex of Eagan, Minnesota, brothers John (Susan) Timm of Dallas, Texas and Jim (Deb) Timm of Omaha, Nebraska; niece Lauren Timm and nephew Matt Timm of Omaha, Nebraska; nephew Greg (Nicole) Timm of San Diego, California; niece Susie Timm (Eric Butruff) of Scottsdale, Arizona; nephew John (Melissa) Timm of Raleigh, North Carolina, and many, many close friends and neighbors, all who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father Lester, mother Wanda (Utz), son Andrew, brother Terry, and sister-in-law Linda (Utz).

Carol left us too soon. To honor her life, we focus on the things that were most important to her: her faith in Jesus Christ and her friends at King of Kings Lutheran Church, and her relatives and friends. She wanted to provide these people an opportunity to gather and celebrate her time with them.
