Passed away peacefully on March 10, 2011. She was born May 31, 1919. Preceded in death by husband, Wilbur E. Rode; parents, Edward & Caroline Pieper; sisters, Helen & Mildred (Wallace) Toensing; brother, Edward (Eunice) Pieper; nephew, Rodney Pieper; step-daughter, Carol Rode Espersen. Survived by nephews, Gary (Natalie) Pieper & Richie (Carol) Toensing; niece, Marjorie Toensing; several grand nieces & nephews; step-daughters, Maryllis (C. Francis) Oehlke & Arlene (Don) Althoff; 17 step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service Monday, 11 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 674 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Interment Union Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice.
