

Mary Jean was married to the love of her life, Frank E. Gilles. They had five sons, John (Charlotte) Gilles, James (Margaret) Gilles, Jeffrey Gilles, Thomas Gilles, and Steven Gilles. Mary Jean was a wonderful mother and wife. She loved everything “holiday” and made sure each one was special for her family.
Mary Jean was proud of her 20 years of volunteering at Ramsey Hospital. She performed many duties during her time there, but especially enjoyed working with hospice patients and talking with families.
Mary Jean lived in her home until the age of 92. She was always decorating and making her house a welcoming home. Mary Jean was 93 when she passed. She had been a resident at New Perspectives Nursing Home for the past 8 months.
Mary Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Ira and Clara Smith; and her siblings, Kathleen Herbison, Arlene Hill, Virginia Spence, Willard Smith, and James Smith.
She is survived by her sons; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 3 at 12pm with visitation one hour prior at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2185 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury. Interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
