Mike was a wonderful uncle to me as well as my siblings, and a wonderful brother to my mom. I miss him all the time, but a part of him will always be here. He truly left the world a better place than he found it I am inspired by him.Thank you for blessing us all with your presence,Mike! I worked with Mike many years ago and will never forget his booming laugh.  He was a good man.  My heart and thoughts are with his family.

I started at IBM with Mike in the summer of 1978. We sat at desks by each other at 245 Marquette.  I'll always remember his good humor and am sorry I haven't had a chance to see him for awhile.  My husband, Bill Kingston, worked with Mike in the IBM Customer Center at 100 Washington Square and also has great memories of working with Mike. He will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered. I had the pleasure of working with Mike for years at IBM.  I can't think of a nicer guy.  Always kind and enthusiastic.  His wonderful laugh made us all  feel better.  I can't believe he is really gone.  My sympathy to all of you that had the pleasure of knowing and loving Mike.

I worked with Mike when he first started with IBM 252. I always remember that smile of his. It really lite up the room. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with his family.

My sympathies to Gail and the entire Powers family.  I was very saddened to hear of Mike's passing.  What a great person, willing to help anyone anytime and with a laugh that could be heard anywhere.  Mike and I met thru our involvment in Pheasants Forever.  He was always willing to work hard regardless if it was handling the "books" (which nobody else wanted to do), banquet prep or a handicap hunt.  I will also always remember how excited he was to take his annual hunting trip with his Dad to ND.  Lastly, Mike constantly talked about how lucky he was to have Gail in his life!  He will be missed by many!

I offer my deepest sympathies to the Powers family. I had the privilege to work with Mike in the early 1980s as we built one of the first IBM Customer Support Centers. Mike was a cornerstone of that effort and his can do attitude and infectious smile was always an uplift to the entire team. The world and IBM have lost a true gentleman. May God keep his soul in His care for eternity.

I will remember Mike as one who had a true sense of caring and shared his warmth,hearty laugh and pat on the shoulder, with everyone. It was a privilege to have known Mike. My sympathy and prayers to his family.

Gail and family - I am so sorry for your loss, Mike was a great husband, brother son and friend.  He will be sadly missed by so many. We will continue to keep you in our prayers and look to God he will guide you, this was his plan.

The memories you have left us with are very special as you were Mike. The oppurtunity to train Max and the stories you shared of hunting with your Dad and Max always made me think of the pleasures i shared with my Dad.
