Michael Patrick Schanks

Mike was a graduate of Washington High School in St. Paul and grew up on Rice St. Mike was a faithful and active employee at 3M for 31 years, which led to holding the role of President of the Local USW 418 Steelworkers Union over the past 4 years. Mike loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Michael and Darlene.

Mike will be deeply missed by his Children, Melissa (Aaron) Wall, Bryan (Ashley) Schanks, and Keith Schanks; Grandchildren, Sophia, Lydia, Alaina, and Ethan; Siblings, Lynn Schanks, Teri (Lenny) Evangelist, Ron Schanks, and Colleen (Gary) Kuchenmeister; Girlfriend, Becky Spaulding; Nieces, Nephews, other Family, and Friends.

Our hearts ache as we remember the sweet and precious memories you have left with us.

Funeral Service will be Monday, May 7 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at Crossroads Church, 5900 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury. Interment at Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul.
