Born on December 29, 1936, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Nancy graduated in from Johson High School in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1955. Nancy was united in marriage to Bernard Leroy Giebler on October 20, 1956 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Nancy and Bernard were blessed with three beautiful children. Nancy lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by the people and passions she cherished most.
Nancy was the heart of her family, a source of unwavering love and warmth. Her zest for life was evident in everything she did. She had a deep love for ballroom dancing, gliding across the floor with grace and joy. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, his music brought a sparkle to her eyes and a rhythm to her step. She delighted in outdoor walks with family and friends, traveling to new places, celebrating life's special family moments (holidays, birthdays, weddings, traditions), collecting angels and savoring sweet moments, especially those involving chocolate.
But above all else, it was Nancy’s family and friends who brought the greatest joy to her life. She radiated love to each person she encountered, offering comfort, laughter, support, or simply a listening ear. Her presence was a gift that uplifted those around her. Nancy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May the love she gave so freely continue to shine through those she touched.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Cindy Thorson, Steven Giebler (Dori), and Sharon Giebler (Jerry); her sister Dorothy Nowlin (Denny); and her sister-in-law Anne Bernauer (Pitts).
Her loving legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jonathan Thorson (Angie), Jenny Johnson (Josh), Zachary Giebler (Lindsay), and Alexander Giebler; as well as her great-grandchildren Kylie and Bryce Johnson and Blake Thorson. Nancy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and special friends who were touched by her kindness and joyful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother Adeline Pitts and beloved brother Roger Pitts, and many dear friends she met throughout her long life.
