Went to be with the Lord on June 2017 after a courageous battle with dementia. Norma was known for her kind and gentle spirit. Patient with others, she demonstrated unconditional love and acceptance on a daily basis. She was also a talented seamstress and artist, always working on her next project. Loved by many, she will be deeply missed.
Norma was born in Braddock, PA on October 19, 1926, to Lawrence and Mary Evans, growing up in the Pittsburgh area. She became a nurse, serving in public health, schools, and hospitals before marrying David Tyree in 1956. She was preceded in death by David and survived by children: David Tyree, Jr. (Mary) of Kenosha, Carolyn Hildebrandt (Terry) of Lake Elmo, and John Tyree (Susan) of Denver. She has 5 grandchildren: Laura, Shawna, Eric, Mikayla, and Marie. She is also survived by sisters Allene Crossman and Beverly Evans.
A Memorial Service will be held at Crosswinds Community Church, 9125 Newgate Ave N, Stillwater, MN at 4 PM on Sunday, July 2.
