hard to believe it's been a year....I MISS YOU BOB

There are no words of comfort that come to my mind that would touch the depth of your loss. I am so sorry that I am not there on this day to honor Bob, however , my spirit certainly is....he meant so much to my family and I.

It is extreemly difficult to accept the loss of Bob and I believe that comfort will only come with memories which will keep him alive in our hearts.  I envision him walking a field in the fall with gun and bird in hand, Sam at his heels and the sun shining on his face.

I'am so sorry to here of the loss of your brother Bobby. Words are difficult to find. May God give rest and peace to Bobby in the kingdom of heaven, and may you find comfort knowing the hearts and lives your brother has touch.

Robert! I will miss you so! I met you at a time in my life when I needed a good jolt of reality-you certainly gave me that...and so much more...you restored my confidence in myself...showed me how to take a bad situation-face it, accept it, but most of all learn from it...you taught me that usually things can only get better. I had the utmost faith in you. We understood each other in a way that did not always require words...we knew each other's hopes, fears, strengths and weaknesses...and most of all we accepted the best along with the worst in each other. This I will miss sharing with you.  We took turns being strong for each other when aspects of daily life became too overwhelming-and I will greatly miss having you there to listen and give me words of encouragement. I will also miss being there for you...and your hugs.  You showed me that no matter what circumstances in life are thrown at you-the biggest mistake is to lose interest in life itself-this belief radiated from you, even on your bad days.
I am so grateful that out paths crossed and I will forever carry you in my heart...I will truly miss your smile, the twinkle in your eyes...and you, the essence of you.

I have nothing but great memories of Bob; spending long weeks at our cabin waterskiing and dirtbiking. Those memories will be permanately etched in my mind.  I have only myself to blame for not being a part of his life when Bob needed friends the most.  My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Thurner family.  Bob will be missed by all.

My mom(vikki) met bob in the hospital a few years back, she was is Nurse (because everyone else was scared of him) and ever since than Bob has been my mom's safeguard...he always made her smile:) he helped her get through a lot of rough times. I love Bob for that, and will never forget him. He also helped my brother (dusty) one of his care attendants through a lot too, he will always be a better person because of bob. Bob helped my family in ways that i could have never...I will miss him very much

We have fond memories of those days long gone when Bob came to our house and spent many happy hours with our kids. He almost was a part of the family and came and went as he chose. He will be missed.

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Please know Bob will forever be missed, as a great neighbor and great friend. I especially will miss the friendship and guidance he gave my son, who he took under his wing. My mom will miss her neighbor, his conversations, his garden and his friendship. On behalf of my family, please know Bob's memory will be in our hearts.
