Passed away on Saturday night, March 31, 2012 at the age of 71. She was born on May 20, 1940 in Coldwater MI, the daughter of Clark W. and Phyllis E. (Smith) Barrington. She graduated from Union City High School in Michigan. Rose had been an active member at Woodbury United Methodist Church. As a diabetic, she longed to see more dietary options for people with her disease. Her family extends special thanks to the staffs of the Woodbury Health Care Center and Health Partners Hospice for their loving care of Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Richard and Robert Barrington. Rose will remain in the hearts of her two daughters and six grandchildren: Jessica (Steve) Gossman of Woodbury MN and their sons, Joseph & Anthony; and Sandy (Niji) Adaralegbe of Buckeye AZ and their children: Jopé, Jaiye, Niji III & Sewa; her brother, Rex (Linda) Barrington of Bronson MI; sisters-in-law, Gladys Barrington of Marshall MI & Margie Barrington of Burr Oak MI; extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Rose’s life on at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 5th at Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Rd. Visitation for one hour prior. Another service and burial will follow at a later date in Union City, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred for later designation.
