I believe that Ajoke was a patient of mine. I was an RN at the U of M in their NICU. If Ajoke was there as a preemie, then I took care of her as her Primary Nurse. I remember her as a beautiful baby and I send my condolences to her family and friends. Sincerely, Janet

Ajoke was the big sister I never had.  I remember the hours I spent in the Alabi living room doing nothing and talking about everything.  Everyone knows how caring and optimistic she was, but I took for granted how safe and reassured she made me feel growing up.  She was out there ahead of us in the world, and you just knew things were going to be ok when ‘Joke smiled at you and gave you a big hug.  Our world is dimmer with her gone.  But I know she’s out in front of us yet again, smiling down and letting us know everything will turn out alright.  

Thank you for everything over the years, ‘Joke.  Rest with the Angels, until we meet again.

I had the good fortune in my formative years to spend many a day and night at the Alabi home through being classmates and good friends with Ajoke’s brother Bola. To refer to Ajoke as my friend’s sister, however, would fall short of the mark. Several of us who trace our history to Pullman Elementary had the honor of her dubbing us as her brothers, beyond the two wonderful ones she has in truth. What an honor to be so loved by best sister any of us could hope to know! And what any of us would do for one more smile or one more hug… 

She was my favorite person to talk to online and on the phone.. she was the first person that I met online and felt comfortable enough to give my home phone number to.. I will miss her and she was the sweetest person... Rip Sweet Friend..

To know her is to love her.  I am lucky to say Ajoke was my friend.  She was a true angel on earth.  He infectious smile and giggle are not soon forgotten. She cared so much about everyone and it was no question that friends and family were special to her.  I was blessed with her friendship when we were young and it carried through our adult lives. I had the opportunity to see her in December. It was her brother's birthday that day and she talked about how well she was doing with her cancer.  She had an appointment coming up and we were hoping for great results.  Even though she was going through a tough time she wanted her brother to be celebrated for his birthday. She had a cake a gift and a card.  She said to me he's going to be upset that I put up a fuss to celebrate him but I'm doing it anyway.  No matter what was going on with her she was always looking out for others.  She took the time and genuinely cared for everyone.  She will be missed by all that has the chance to meet her.  Thank you for sharing her with us. I will never forget my friend and the memories we shared together.  

Ajoke, your infectious smile, warm hugs and amazing personality will never be forgotten! Any room you entered was always turned warm just by your presence. You had a calming and loving effect on everyone you met. While we attended the same Junior and Senior High and had several classes together, we became much closer once we became adults. I miss our talks about the Wild, Twins and Reba! Cancer may have won the battle, but you won the war for your legacy will continue!! I am honored to be called your friend. Rest easy, beautiful lady! 

You are dearly missed by all your coworkers and team. We miss you and love you. You were a fighter warrior and amazing team player at work. I loved coming in and seeing your smile every morning. You try to show a smile even thru your darkest moments. RIP in heaven. Watch over your family friends and coworkers. 



I first met Ajoke when she moved to Saint Paul Park in 2nd grade. We instantly became best friends! When she smiled her entire face smiled, and that laugh was always kind and sincere. She was a true Angel, and there will never be anyone as true. Love you sis...

Ajoke and I were in band from 7-12th grades.  She was one of the first friends I met when I moved to cottage grove.  She always had a smile on her face.  She always lit up the room when someone entered.   She was a great person inside and out.  She will be missed. 

I knew Ajoke through her brother Bola. She was always so happy and kind.  When my son was born early she reached out to share that she was also a preemie and give me some positive thoughts and hope through a tough time. I really appreciated it and think about her often when I remember that time.

Ajoke was one of the most positive people I have ever encountered in my life.  Each day she came to work with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. No matter what was going on at work or her personal life she always kept a smile. She always put others in front of herself and made sure that every one was happy.  She is irreplaceable and will always be in our hearts and memories at JCPenney.  

I went to college with Ajoke and we became amazing friends she was always very upbeat no matter how bad a situation was. So sad to hear this news she will definitely be missed!

I worked with Ajoke for over ten years. She never missed a day of work. Ajoke always showed up with a smile on her face, ready to work, and was always willing to lead a hand to help you out. She talked about her family a lot, friends, sports, and fun stuff from growing up. She was the brightest, most loving, caring, and the hardest worker I have ever known; she worked two jobs and was willing to fill in even if it were her day off. Rest in peace Ajoke. Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends.

I will always remember Ajoke's infectious smile and positivity. I met her through friends and my husband at St Cloud State. We had a mutual love of hockey and sports in general. She always made a point to meet up with us anytime we were at the Xcel center or when she would come to St Cloud.  I will miss her hugs most of all. Rest in peace my friend. 

I've known Ajoke since elementary at Pullman! She was one of the bravest women I know. Always had such positive things to say. I was able to catch up with life at our 20 year class reunion and will hold that memory and hug in my heart forever. What a beautiful person this world has lost. 

I went to Park with Ajoke. We were in band together and had some great times hanging out. Your love of sports and sports knowledge was out of this world. You were such a warm and kind person. Your smile would light up the room and could brighten anyone's day. Ajoke, rest in peace my friend. My deepest condolences and prayers to her family, friends, and loved ones. 

I grew up with Ajoke and went to school with her - all the way from Pullman Elementary/Oltman Junior High/Park High and eventually St. Cloud State University!  I will never forget her big smile and friendly demeanor.  I would also run into her when she was working at the Xcel Energy Center and she always would give a big hug.  Ajoke, you were a kind soul and you will be missed!
